Lucia is a display typeface inspired by Spanish tiles. This is a passion project I created after visiting Seville.
I designed Lucia as a monospace font to mimic repeated square tiles—each letter takes up the same amount of vertical and horizontal space. The thin counters mimic the space between tiles on a wall.
